Betsy the sofa dresser

Here is Betsy. I fell in love with her size and thought she would be perfect for a sofa table but dresser instead. Perfect height but could hold all those blankets and other items u want available but not visible. She was primed and then done in miss mustard seeds French enamel and the drawers in grain sack.

Big Bertha

NoBeginning big Bertha. I have put her off for nine months and her day of reckoning has come. Sink or swim.

Little clara

I sold my little entry dresser so needed a replacement and here she is done in a whit base coat then home made chalk paint in palest aqua blue and finally a topped with miss mustard seeds milk paint in dried lavender. I really wasn't sure I was gonna be a fan of the dried lavender but I do love it. Almost a lavender gray and I'm in love with gray. Then she got a dark waxing and buffed out.

Up cycling an old dresser mirror

This is a bit of an experiment so we will see what happens. My brother brought me this mirror but half of the glass was cloudy so I thought hmmmm I will try a chalkboard. So here is step one. I primed the mirror and the frame.  Step two two coats of chalkboard paint step three taping it off.  Step four painting the frame and step five will be distressing the frame.

Back from our family holiday

We had a wonderful week away with family and fall colors but how I missed my paintbrush. Today I am continuing my little rummage sale dresser. Sanding her top like mad but hubby is gonna have to finish those tough spots with the belt sander. She is getting a sound distressing and then onto some milk paint. Today it will be sweet pickins milk paint.

My Creative Space

As I was helping redo the family dairy barn into a family haven for get togethers, I was also able to carve out some space for me..my stuff..and my projects.  And of course also a space for the entire family to get together and work on crafts and projects but no one uses it quite as much as lil ol' me!

So come on in and check it out!  Here is the entryway which I try and keep decorated for the season at hand.

Right when you walk in you see my giant workspace.  Two tables, one from an old barn door and one recreated to match.  The workspace also doubles as a family dining area for my 3 siblings, my parents and the sixteen and counting grandchildren when we all are able to get together!

Here is the same table being used to prep the door coffee table for painting.  When I really get going the entire two tables can be totally covered in projects!
This handy curtain and a wall of doors contains my storage space...It is a bit messy in there but if you promise not to be bothered, I will let you take a peek!

My desk and lovely chair that I redid!
Supplies!
The view of the table from the open staircase!
The door to my workroom!
Thanks for touring! Someday I will update this post!
